Centre Stage Surprise Proposal

It's not easy being part of a top secret plan, but this was a perfectly orchestrated proposal on Centre Stage in the Joan Sutherland Theatre in the Sydney Opera House. :) After much planning, a cunning ruse and lots of little lies, a little magic happened inside the magnificent shells of this iconic building.

Having a mutual love of music, theatre and special memories at the Opera House, meant that this proposal was going to be something really special.

But it was a brilliant plan - a private tour of the Opera House, just the two of them, oh and some random with a camera! Benjamin planned it perfectly right down to being on centre stage at precisely 12pm with background music (Caribou - Can't do without you , which sounded amazing in the acoustics of the theatre).

Benjamin had planned for the proposal to happen on stage at 12pm during a 'private tour' with just the two of them...and some random person with a camera trying to look as touristy as possible. To Esther's complete surprise, Benjamin got down on bended knee on centre stage and asked this girl if she would be willing to come to concerts for the rest of her life with him. To everyone's relief, (Benjamin was a bag of nerves before the proposal and I wasn't much better, pretending to be super-interested in the commentary from our lovely tour guide, Stephen!) she said yes and then we embarked on a little private photo shoot to celebrate this amazing moment in their lives.

The proposal was amazing, the venue was incredible and their love was perfect.

Take a bow!

Congrats Benjamin & Esther!
